Where it all Began
Picture this: Kara is sitting on the beach in Hawaii with her new baby and she wanted a delicious refreshment other than pop or water, but she was struggling to find what her heart and body was craving. Then, Kara found a stand selling a fermented, fizzy concoction, she was intrigued. When the first sips of kombucha hit her lips, she was hooked.
Female-Founded in Vancouver
Kara’s background in as a chef, personal trainer, and a natural born entrepreneur positioned her to sparkle as the founder of Bucha Brew. At home, with her son on her hip, she got to work in her kitchen. She brewed the tea, fermented the kombucha, and created hand-drawn labels. After her first sales call (in flip-flops) where she got her product listed in Wholefoods, she realized how much potential there was for her newly created kombucha company. There was a sparkle in her eye and a fire in her heart, and five years later, we are in 1500 locations across Canada.
